Competition in business is fierce. Failure to register trademarks creates opportunities for competition and can stifle expansion. This puts your business, and any product or service development you are undertaking, at an immediate and unnecessary risk.

Securing a registered trademark protects your brand and provides the tools to shield against others seeking to benefit from your brand development.  As your product or service becomes successful, the trademark itself starts to develop an intrinsic value. The time to protect assets is now; before they become liabilities.

We offer flat-rate packages for trademarking services to secure your brand and protect the value of your business.

Provisional Patents

Filing a provisional patent application (PPA) protects your idea(s) and begins the process of obtaining a patent.

The US is changing from a “First-to-Invent” system to a “First-to-File” system, which means your filing date will be THE MOST important determinant of whether you–or someone else who filed first–gets a patent.  A PPA establishes an earlier priority filing date and gives you the legal right to say “patent pending” on your product.

Filing a PPA can be extremely useful in the competitive race to bring a new technology to market. We offer legal services to protect your invention and get the “patent pending” label, adding intrinsic value to your business.  Let us help you to capitalize on your ideas before someone else does.

Music Licensing

You want every chance to generate income from your music. While musicians tend to rely on mechanical royalties (tangible CD sales and digital downloads), music licensing is another way to receive compensation for the use of your music.  From movies and television shows to bars and coffee shops, you can be compensated for the public use of your music.

We assist independent artists with distribution and licensing through national and global publishers.

Every invention, song, drawing, logo, clip or movie you create is your intellectual property.  Our firm provides legal services to protect your creations including copyrights, trademarks, and provisional patents.  Southern California is the entertainment capital of the world and we can provide legal services for artists of any background.  Whether established, or an up-and-coming actor/actress, model, artist or musician, we can help to protect any career.  Our firm can additionally provide services to protect your image and music through privacy torts and licensing services.

Our start-up packages for artists beginning their careers include contract review, licensing, distribution and imaging laws.

  • Right of Publicity
  • Music Licensing
  • Licensing Agreements
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Agent and Manager Agreements
  • Publishing Agreements
  • Entertainment Contract Review

You have the creative ideas, we have the business experience to get your start-up going.  The process of starting a company may seem overwhelming, but it can also be rewarding.  The number of permits and licenses required to “open your doors” varies by industry and failure to obtain them can result in fines, sanctions, or forced closure.

Don’t gamble your future by taking risks today. We offer flat-rate business start-up packages for new Partnerships, LLCs and Corporations. We’ll handle the paperwork and meet all state and local legal requirements.  Let us manage the process, leaving you free to focus on building your business.

Tiny print and endless page counts make most contracts seem like a daunting endeavor.  Our firm provides expedited review of any contract before you sign on the dotted line, saving you future hassle and frustration.  For urgent contracts, we strive to provide a quick turn-around for both analysis and review.

Need a contract but confused by the myriad template options?  We can draft a personalized contract providing much more protection than an online template, preserving your rights and clearly establishing your goals within the terms of the contract.

A contract establishes your relationship with another party and we want to make sure the terms of any relationship, whether for entertainment, construction or corporate, are fully defined and understood.  Save the ambiguity for your personal relationships and let us clarify your contract terms before the agreement becomes binding.

  • Entertainment Contracts
  • Employment Contracts
  • Marital Contracts(Pre/Post)
  • Construction Contracts
  • Corporate Contracts
  • Lease Agreements
  • Adoption Agreements
  • Contract Review

If a past conviction on your record is preventing you from seeking gainful employment, purchasing a home or obtaining a loan for your business, we are here to help.  Our firm can assist in expunging past criminal offenses from your record, reducing felonies to misdemeanors and applying for presidential pardons for federal criminal offenses.

While a criminal record can stifle many future prospects, the legal system looks favorably upon those who seek rehabilitation. If you can prove reform; that you “are no longer the same person as when you committed the crime”, the courts will have little cause for further punishment. Let us help to resolve your past so that you can focus on building your future.
